Internationalisation at the artistic and cultural institutions of higher education

This summary is based on the results from the report on internationalisation at the institutions of higher education under the Ministry of Culture Denmark, which was conducted by the Ministry of Culture and the Rectors’ Conference of the Ministry of Culture in 2010-11.

The report is based on data from the period 2007-2009. In 2010, a number of mergers took place in the policy area of the Ministry of Culture.

The Glass and Ceramic School on Bornholm merged with the Danish Design School. Funen Music Academy, West Jutland Academy of Music and the National School of Acting at Odense Theatre merged into the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark. Northern Jutland’s Music Academy and the Royal Music Academy Aarhus merged into the Royal Music Academy Aarhus/Aalborg.

Furthermore, in 2011, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, the Danish Design School and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Conservation merged into the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation. The mergers have become effective after the data period 2007-2009 and will only be mentioned when relevant.
